With nearly 20 years’ experience in Business Advice, Project Management and Strategic Leadership; Laura has run her own Consultancy Business, Transformed services within the Public Sector and more recently joined the Development Bank of Wales to add Angel Investing to her bag of tricks.

Laura joined Angel Invest Wales over 3 years ago as a Regional Investment Manager. She works closely with entrepreneurs to get them investor ready, as well as supporting a Network of Angels from across the UK to find the right deal for them – she really does have the inside knowledge for both side of the coin. When not matching investors to businesses; you’ll find Laura cooking up a storm in the kitchen, with her nose in a self-development book (not at the same time of course!) or planning the next travel expedition with her three girls.

Michael works with technology-focused businesses across the north and mid-Wales and is able to help start-ups and early stage companies looking to develop and commercialise their ideas.

Mike joined the Development Bank of Wales’ technology ventures investment team in August 2019 as Deputy Fund Manager, working with technology-focused Welsh businesses and those looking to move to Wales to secure strong intellectual property positions as they grow. Mike is based at the Wrexham HQ, where he focuses on business opportunities in north and mid-Wales.

Mike has worked in the technology venture capital sector across Wales, the north of England and the Isle of Man, since the early 2000s and has successfully invested in companies operating in a variety of technology markets ranging from software to energy efficiency, through to medical devices and novel materials. Mike also has an MBA from the Open Business School.
